Autoroute tolls in France

I was confused last year when riding in France and ended up paying the car rate instead of the bike rate at least once. Not a vast amount but still annoying. If you see a toll lane with a height restriction do not use it. I assumed wrongly that the height restriction was to prevent lorries using this lane. It is for cars only and you will be charged as a car. Discovered this on the toll operator's website. Use one of the other lanes that shows credit card or cash symbol.
